15 of Twenty One Pilots' Best Live Sessions
Consider yourself a fan of Twenty One Pilots, or wanting to find out more about them? We’ve compiled a list of 15 of the duo’s best live or acoustic sessions for you to watch.
In no particular order, let’s get started!
1. Migraine (Roland Sessions)
With this being uploaded back in 2013, watch as Twenty One Pilots deliver ‘Migraine’ with just as much enthusiasm and passion as they do now.
2. Lane Boy (Warner Acoustics)
Take a look at Tyler Joseph playing a slightly different rendition of ‘Lane Boy’.
3. We Don’t Believe What’s On TV (Pitcam.TV)
Although Josh Dun doesn’t always get to participate in some acoustic sessions (we still appreciate you, Josh!), we get to watch the duo in a very relaxed state as Tyler plays ‘We Don’t Believe What’s On TV’. If you’d like something peaceful to enjoy, this is definitely one to watch.
4. Car Radio (The Live Room)
This video captures how Tyler and Josh are able to produce elements of their live stage mannerisms in a similar way even through a live session like this.
5. Holding On To You (The Live Room)
This is another session captured in The Live Room, it’s just too good not to include!
6. House of Gold (The Point)
Watch Twenty One Pilots perform ‘House of Gold’ in a short and sweet manner.
7. Tear In My Heart (Red Bull Sound Space at KROQ)
In this video, Tyler sits cross-legged by himself with just his ukulele, playing ‘Tear In My Heart’. The song spent eight weeks at the number 2 spot on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

8. Screen (97X)
‘Screen’ is taken from the band’s 2013 album, Vessel. The accompanying ocean background gives off vibes of serenity, but we could still get those vibes even if we only had the audio to this acoustic!
9. Polarize (FaceCulture)
‘Polarize’ is taken from the duo’s 2015 album, Blurryface. Take a look as Tyler Joseph plays a beautiful acoustic version of the song.
10. Holding On To You (UG Sessions)
This video was uploaded way back in 2011, with Tyler stating in the session for ‘Car Radio‘ that it’s their first ever acoustic set. Sit back and watch as Tyler and Josh perform ‘Holding On To You’ with just as much passion as now.
11. We Don’t Believe What’s On TV (Warner Acoustics)
This is another acoustic session for ‘We Don’t Believe What’s On TV’ but we’re sure you won’t mind!
12. Stressed Out (Hamish & Andy)
A ukulele version of ‘Stressed Out’ is very different to what we’ve heard before but is incredible nonetheless, and is still very much in the style of Twenty One Pilots. The song is arguably the band’s most popular and what snowballed their ever growing success, with it having sold over 2.4 million copies in the US as of December 2016.
13. Addict With A Pen (UG Sessions)
‘Addict With A Pen’ is taken from the band’s first album, titled Twenty One Pilots, that was released in 2009. Eight years later, and they’re still playing the much-loved song on their tours as part of a medley. This is definitely one to watch.
14. Car Radio (The Edge)
The live acoustic of ‘Car Radio’ here is performed slightly differently to the one previously mentioned in this list. No matter what way Tyler and Josh perform their songs, they’re still able to showcase the meaning and passion behind it.
15. TOPxMM (the MUTEMATH sessions)
We couldn’t choose just one of the songs from this session, they’re all too good! So we decided to include all five songs reimagined (‘Heavydirtysoul’, ‘Ride’, ‘Heathens’, ‘Tear In My Heart’ and ‘Lane Boy’) for you to enjoy.
Which live or acoustic session was your favourite or do you have one we haven’t included? Let us know on Twitter or Facebook.
